Executive Team
Sending Sunshine is a registered charity (730627478RR0001) that collects and distributes cards to seniors living both in the community and residing in care facilities across Canada. The team was inspired to start Sending Sunshine when they noticed that senior citizens, a group already vulnerable to depression and loneliness, were hit especially hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, both physically and mentally.
Marissa Parker

Born and raised in Mississauga, Marissa is currently pursuing her Master of Communication at the University of Ottawa. In her free time, Marissa enjoys running, swimming, travelling, and exploring new restaurants!
Solange Hondermann

Born in Peru and raised in Ottawa, Solange is a graduate of Carleton University's Bachelor of Commerce Program and is currently working towards her CPA Designation. In her free time, Solange enjoys playing volleyball, reading, and playing with her dog Romeo!
Tracy

Born in Toronto and brought up in Mississauga, Tracy is a graduate of Queen's University, Faculty of Law. In her spare time, Tracy likes to hike with her dog Sesame, play badminton, and try new restaurants!
Emily Crowe
Events Director
Born and brought up in Mississauga, Emily is a graduate of McMaster's Bachelor's in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering program. In her spare time, Emily likes to cook new dishes, attempt knitting projects, and read outside.
